As the situation of COVID-19 develops, the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce is actively working to support the local workforce. We have compiled a list of resources for individuals who have recently seen a reduction of hours or temporarily laid off.

Social services updates from the Missouri Department of Social Services; check back frequently for site updates regarding Family Support Division, child care, MO Healthnet, Children’s Division, Division of Youth Services.

Food Stamp Applications

The Joplin Family Y has received a temporary child care license. If you are an essential employee, particularly a healthcare worker, and you need childcare to perform your job, contact the Joplin Family Y about child care. Availability is limited, however.
